The Victorian Therapeutics Advisory Group (VicTAG) is an independent, not-for profit association. VicTAG members are hospital pharmacists and medical specialists from Victorian hospitals. The Management Committee comprises representatives from hospital Drug and Therapeutics Committees.

VicTAG‘s purpose is to promote quality use of medicines by sharing unbiased, evidence-based information about medication therapy and to support the goals of, and facilitate the National Medicines Policy of access, quality, and safety in the use of medicines in Victorian hospitals.

About the Role:

You will be a suitably qualified pharmacist, ideally with experience in Medication Safety.  Working with the VicTAG Quality Use of Medicines Group, you will embark on a state-wide project to develop Medication Safety Alerts for Victorian health services.

You will identify medication safety issues and lead the development and design of Medication Safety Alerts across the state.  You will be responsible for leading all aspects of the project under the guidance of the VicTAG QUM Group.

You will also be required to undertake other tasks for VicTAG, including but not limited to website maintenance, report writing and minute taking.

Essential criteria:

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy and current registration as a Pharmacist with AHPRA
  • Experience and/or knowledge of Medication Safety
  • Experience in project management (desirable)
  • Experience in using graphic design programs and/or experience in marketing (desirable)
